Vine Fact
Fact #7
Old World Wines are wines that come European countries like France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, etc. Old World wines tend to be less fruity and more earthy than their New World counterparts.
Wine Rule
Rule #3
Don't put ice in your wine. Unless you are one of those people that put ice in coffee or put your dog in a baby stroller.
Wine Serving Temp
Stitch in Nine saves Wine
Champagne is served coldest in the 40s, white wine in the 50s and red wine in the 60s.

Champagne should be served at 48°F. Easy to remember because the 8 looks bubbly like champagne.

White wine is served at 54°F and red wine is served as 63°F. You can remember this because both numbers add up to Nine. 5+4=9 and 6+3=9. And Nine rhymes with Wine.
Bottle Orientation
Horizontal or upside down
Wine is stored laying down or upside down (cork down) to keep the cork moist. If wine is stored upright for long periods of time the cork will become dry and no longer properly seal the bottle.

Once the cork is dry, oxygen can seep into the bottle and spoil the wine. Don't worry, if you leave your wine upright for a few days or a few weeks it won't spoil.
