About Brent Modzelewski
Brent Modzelewski is the author/illustrator of A message in a bottle: Wine Journal.
He is an engineer and inventor by day and a wine industry content creator and influencer by night.
Brent holds a WSET Level 2 Certification in Wine and Spirits from Wine & Spirit Educational Trust and Certificate in The Wines of Bordeaux from L'Ecole du Vin de Bordeaux,
both courses taken through the Florida Wine Academy in Miami, FL.
In preparation for WSET Level 3 Certification in Wine, he is currently enrolled in the American Wine Expert certification course and Sommday Service Workshop certification course through the Napa Valley Wine Academy in Napa, CA.
Aside from his wine industry credentials, Brent holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
He has amassed more than 30 United States Patents, over 40 International Patents and an additional 30 worldwide patent applications currently pending.
Coming from an engineering background, Brent is an inherent problem solver.
Wine topics can be confusing, pretentious and riddled with misinformation.
People are afraid to ask questions for fear of feeling stupid or for worrying they won't understand the answer.
Brent is driven to make wine more accessible to all, by simplifying wine for the everyday consumer. The more you know, the more you can appreciate the world of wine.
